Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon Returned to Mare Island 6/7

VALLEJO — The 39th Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon Festival, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the Philippines, will return to Mare Island Saturday with about 15,000 attendees  expected for the free, family-friendly festival.

Ogie Alcasid Joins Pista Sa Nayon 2025 in Vallejo, CA

Vallejo, CA – Filipino singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid made a special appearance at Pista sa Nayon 2025, bringing heartfelt messages and live music to one of the largest Filipino community festivals in Northern California.

Hosted by BRGY and covered by Bettina Someros-Ching, the festival drew thousands to the Vallejo waterfront for a day filled with food, performances, and cultural pride. Ogie shared, “These festivals help us keep the fire of our culture burning,” as he reflected on the power of music to connect the diaspora.

The event highlighted traditional Filipino dance, food booths, and multigenerational attendance—all celebrating shared heritage. Alcasid added, “Filipinos are everywhere, and wherever we go, we bring our music, our food, and our joy.”
