40th Annual Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon at Mare Island to feature VST & Company legends, Jocelyn Enriquez, Jed Madela and more on June 6
VALLEJO, Calif. — May 19, 2026 — Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon, an annual celebration of Filipino heritage and history, will mark its 40th anniversary on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mare Island Coal Sheds in Vallejo.
This year’s milestone celebration features a special headlining performance by Spanky and Roger Rigor of VST & Company featuring Bootleg Orchestra and The Balikbayans, along with Filipino American dance music icon Jocelyn Enriquez, award-winning Filipino singer Jed Madela and more.
Hosted by the Philippine Cultural Committee under the Filipino Community of Solano County, Inc., the free, family-friendly festival invites the community to experience Filipino culture through this year’s theme, “Honoring Our Culture Through Kwentuhan (Storytelling).”
“Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon has always been about community, culture and connection,” said Jen Mojica, producer and chair of Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon. “As we celebrate 40 years, this year’s theme of kwentuhan, or storytelling, is a reminder that our stories are how we honor our past, stay connected in the present and inspire the next generation to carry our culture forward.”
“It’s more than just a festival – it’s a reflection of the pride, resilience and shared experiences that continue to shape our Filipino community across generations,” said Mary Medina, vice chair of Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon.
The festival’s storytelling theme highlights the importance of preserving history, strengthening intergenerational connections and celebrating identity across the Filipino diaspora.
This year’s event also coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Filipino Community of Solano County, Inc., the nonprofit organization behind the festival.
